Dear Mr. Peters:

I have learned from the school trust committee that a teaching vacancy will open in the next semester. I have enclosed my resume for your review and I would like to be considered for a teaching position in the subjects of Math and Sciences in the Elementary levels. I have an educational degree from the University of Bethsford with a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Development.

I am presently teaching at St. Ann's in Calsford overseeing the third and fourth grade classes. Before this school year, I was a club moderator for the Math Whiz Champs, an after-school activity program for gifted students who excel in Mathematics. I also have additional teaching experience gained through after hours of volunteer work, I tutor immigrant children in English Proficiency classes sponsored by the Immigration Bureau. Currently, I am also pursuing professional development and continuing education training for teachers, a certification program in Classroom Management and Instructional Strategies.
